You can derive the n t h term by puuting the value of n in a n = ( n - 1 ) 2
Hence, a 1 = ( 1 - 1 ) 2 = 0
a 2 = ( 2 - 1 ) 2 = 1 2 = 1
a 3 = ( 3 - 1 ) 2 = 2 2 = 4
a 4 = ( 4 - 1 ) 2 = 3 2 = 9
a 5 = ( 5 - 1 ) 2 = 4 2 = 16
a 6 = ( 6 - 1 ) 2 = 5 2 = 25
Hence, first six terms are {0,1,4,9,16,25}
