Given, charge for one bolt. = p
if x is no. of bolts, in thousand and
p = 130 x 14
So sequence, R = x p R = x ( 130 x 14 ) R ( x ) = 130 x x 2 14
Revense is maximum when d R ( x ) d x = 0 d ( 130 x x 2 14 ) = 0 130 2 x 14 = 0 x 7 = 130 x = 130 × 7 = 910
So, for maximum revenue 910 thousands bolts are to be sold.
