Two circles intersect at points 1 and 2. The coordinates of the centers of these circles are (100,100) and (200, 250) m, while the radii are 100m and 120m, respectively. Calculate the coordinates of the points of intersection 1 and 2.

The equation of a circle which has center at (h,k) and radius r is:
(xh)2+(yk)2=r2
The coordinates of center of one circle is (100,100) and radius is 100; therefore the equation is:
(x100)2+(y100)2=1002
The coordinates of center of second circle is (200,250) and radius is 120; therefore the equation is:
(x200)2+(y250)2=1202
The points of intersection of both circles are the common solutions to both circle equations. These points of intersection can be obtained through a graphing utility in which the equations of circles are input.

The points of intersection are represented by the black dots which are (91.096,199.603) and (195.366,130.09).
