Then the number of apples picked by Lane = 5x
Total 24
x+5x=24
6x=24
x=24/6=4
So the number of apples that lan picked = 4
2. Let number of white cars = x
Number of black cars 7x
Total=64
x+7x=64
8x=64
x=64/8=8
So, number of black cars 7x=7(8)=56
