Lisa earns $10 an hour for the first 36 hours of work. So, Lisa's total earning in the first 36 hours of her work = 10 × 36 = $ 360.
Lisa works 44 hours in one week, so for remaining ( 44 36 ) hours she gets $15 an hour.
Step 2
Hence Lisa's total earning in the remaining 8 hours of her work = 8 × 15 = $ 120
So, Lisa's total earning for one whole week is $ 360 + $ 120 = $ 480
Step 3
And each week she has $140 deducted from her check for income taxes and retirement. So, Lisa's take home pay = $ 480 $ 140 = $ 340
