Let the number of rentals be x
total amount spent at store A = 9 x
total amount spent at store B = 4 x + 50
9 x = 4 x + 50
9 x 4 x = 50 5 x = 50 x = 10
total amount spent at store A = 9 × 10 = 90
total amount spent at store B = 4 × 10 + 50 = 40 + 50 = 90
Therefore After 10 video-game rentals the total amount spent at each store will be the same
Total amount spent at each store is $ 90
