each book was sold for $2727
=> x books were sold for 2727x
each ticket is bought for $5454
=> y tickets are bought for 5454y
Step 2
He s left with no money now. i.e, he spent all the money be got from selling books to buy tickets.
2727 x 5454 y = 0
2727 x = 5454 y
x = 2 y
for x to be minimum, 2y should be minimum.
y = 1
x = 2 ( 1 ) = 2.
Least number of books he could have sold = 2
earnings from selling 2 books = 2 ( 2727 ) = $ 5454least number of tickets bought = 1
