We are supposed to use the identity that
sin2θ+cos2θ=1

x(θ)=sinθ
y(θ)=32cos(2θ)
Note that
cos(2θ)=12sin2(θ)
The expression for y(θ) simplifies to
y(θ)=32cos(2θ)=1+4sin2(θ)=1+4x2
Thus your parabola is simply y=1+4x2 where 1x1
