Building on standards from Analytical Geometry and from middle school, Students will analyze quadratic functions. Students will investigate key features of graphs, solve quadratic equations by taking the square roots, factoring (x2+bx+c and ax2+bx+c), completing the square, and using the quadratic formula. Students will compare graphs in standard, vertex, andintercept forms. Students will only work with real number solutions.

Quadratic eq-n is of the form
ax2+bx+c=0 where a0
b, c and c arbitrary constant.
Given: x2+bx+c=0
x2+2xb2+(b2)2(b2)2+c=0
(x+b2)2+(cb24)=0
(x+b2)2((b24c))2=0.
(x+b2+b24c)(x+62b24c)=0
x=(b2+b24c)
and x=(b2b24c)
ax2+bx+c=0
a(x2+bax+ca)=0(a0)
x2+2xb2a+(b2a)2(b2a)2+ca=0
(x+b2a2+cab24a2=0
(x+b2a)2(b24a2ca)2=0
