Evaluatelim_(x->oo)(1)/(sqrt(x))int_1^x\ln(1+(1)/(sqrt(t)))dt If the limit exists with l'Hopital i get lim_(x->oo)(ln(1+(1)/(sqrt (x)))/((1)/(2 sqrt(x))))=2 but why can I apply l'Hopital, I mean does the integral int_1^x ln(1+(1)/(sqrt(t)))dtreally diverge ?How can I show that ?

Evaluate lim x 1 x 1 x ln ( 1 + 1 t ) d t
If the limit exists with l'Hopital i get
lim x ln ( 1 + 1 x ) 1 2 x = 2
but why can I apply l'Hopital, I mean does the integral 1 x ln ( 1 + 1 t ) d t really diverge ?
How can I show that ?

"does the integral 1 x ln ( 1 + 1 t ) d t really diverge ?"
It surely does:
t 1 log ( 1 + 1 t ) log 2 t
