2x+3y=15 (your top equation has a typothat I fixed. if this isnt the equation, post back)
4x-9y=3
pick one of the equations and solve for either x or y. inthis case I pick the top equation and I want to solve for the variable x.
2x+3y=15
so...
2x=-3y+15 then x = 3 y + 15 2
you then plug this new x value into the 2nd equation.
4 3 y + 15 2 9 y = 3
this simplifies into:
-6y+30-9y=3
you then solve for y
-15y=-27
y=27/15 or 1.8 <== this is the answer for y
plug the y value into either one of the equations and solve forx. I choose the 1st equation.
2x+3(27/15)=15
2x+27/5=15
2x=15-27/5
x=4.8
so your values are (4.8,1.8) which is the values for theintersection of the two lines.
