2000 + .07 x = S a l a r y 1
2300 + .05 x = S a l a r y 2
1.)
To get the point:
2000 +.07x = 2300+.05x
x= 15000
2000 + .07(15000) =y
y= 3050
(15000,3050)
This is the point at which you make the same salary at bothjobs.
2.) 2000 + .07 ( 20000 ) = S a l a r y 1 = $ 3400
2300 + .05 ( 20000 ) = S a l a r y 2 = $ 3300
