the standard equation of straight line is :-
y = mx + c , where m = slope of theline
given equation , kx - 3y = 7,
=> 3y = kx - 7
=> y =(k/3)*x - 7/3
hence slope of this line =k/3
if this line has a slope m= 2,
then, k/3 = 2
=> k = 2*3
=6

Ok so you obviously know the y=mx+B, If you put that equation into the point slope formula you will get part 1 of the answer.Then you can solve work..... y y 1 = M ( x x 1 ).....(<:::: is the point slope formula. That wil give you a linear equation in which you can solve.
