Let x be the number of solid color gift wrap number of printed gift wrap = 480 - x money collected for solid color = 4x money collected for printed gift wrap = 6(480-x)
2340 = 4x + 6(480 - x)
2340 = 4x + 2880 - 6x
2x = 540
x = 270
solid color gift wrap = 270 rolls
printed gift wrap = 480-270 = 210 rolls

1)S + P = 480 (the total number sold)and
2)4S + 6P = 2340 (the total money raised).
We can solve this system of equations by solving for S in thefirst equation. Then substituting this value in the second.
S = 480 - P (from equat. 1)
Now plug this into 2nd equat.
4*(480-P) + 6P = 2340 (now solve for P)
1920 - 4P + 6P = 2340
2P=2340 - 1920
2P = 420
P = 210
Now go back to equation 1 and plug in this value for P.
S + P =480
S + (210) = 480
S= 480-210
S = 270
