An inverse variation has the form
y = c x for some constant c
Given ( x , y ) = ( 12 , 124 ) is a solution pair for the desiblack inverse variation:
124 = c 12
c = 1488
and the inverse variation equation is
y = 1488 x
When x=−24 this becomes
y = 1488 - 24 = - 62
