Let the intercept made by line on the axis be a and b.
The equation of the line is
x a + y b = 1
Given line has equal intercept.
So a=b
Equation of line becomes
x/a + y/a = 1
Or x + y = a
Now equation of line passes through (-5,2)
Therefore, -5+2 = a
Or a = -3
So equation of line is
x + y = 3
x,y- intercept can't be zero because the above equation is not valid in that case.
