Slope intercept form q a line is given as
y = m x + b
where
Slope = m
y-intercept = (0,b)
So, for
5 x 4 y = 8 5 x 8 = 4 y 4 y = 5 x 8 y = 1 4 ( 5 x 8 ) y = 5 x 4 8 4 y = 5 4 x 2 y = 5 4 x + ( 2 )
om comparing this with
y = m x + b m = 5 4 b = 2
So slope (m)= 5/4
y-intercept
= ( 0 , 2 )
