Let x = percent conntration of resulting golel alloy
So,
60% of gold alloy = resulting gold alloy
60 × 0.50 + 40 × 0.40 = x ( 60 + 40 ) 30 + 16 = x ( 100 ) x = 36 100 x = 0.46
percent concetration of resulting gold alloy 46%
