Let Asanji mixes x qt. of 20% saline solution together with (10 - x) qt. of water to get 10 qt. of a 25% saline solution.
So, mathmatically the qunatity of salt (in qt.)
20% of x + 100% of (10 - x) = 25% of 10
0.20 × ( x ) + 1 × ( 10 x ) = 0.25 × ( 10 ) 0.20 x + 10 x = 2.5 0.20 x x = 2.5 10 0.80 x = 7.5 x = 7.5 0.80 x = 9.375
