So called "dating" apps like Tinder and Grindr have become known to many as “hook-up" apps. You want to know if people using these apps for "dating" or "hook-ups" is significantly different by gender-identity. You survey 200 users of Tinder to get data on their gender-identity and if they are on the app for dating/looking for a relationship or hook-ups/not looking for a relationship. Is there an association between gender and goals motive for using Tinder?

Chi-square test of independence:

A single simple random sampling is done with each individual being classified based on the two categorical variables. Then, the hypothesis testing is carried out to check whether there is any relationship between the two categorical variables. This test is called as chi-square test of independence.

Identify the appropriate test for the given study.

The appropriate test for the given study is determined below as follows :

From the information, given that it tested to know whether the people using these tinder apps for “ dating” or “hook-ups” differs significantly regarding to the gender.

Also given that 200 users have been survey in order to know whether there exists any association between gender and goals motive for using Tinder or not. That is, the word" asscoiation " determines whether there is any relationship between the two variables or not.

This clearly indicates the appropriate test used for the given study is “Chi-square test for independence”.

For the 1s orbital of the Hydrogen atom, the radial wave function is given as: $R(r)=\frac{1}{\sqrt{\pi}}(\frac{1}{{a}_{O}}{)}^{\frac{3}{2}}{e}^{\frac{-r}{{a}_{O}}}$ (Where ${a}_{O}=0.529$ ∘A)

The ratio of radial probability density of finding an electron at $r={a}_{O}$ to the radial probability density of finding an electron at the nucleus is given as ($x.{e}^{-y}$).
