Given Information:
Two cards are drawn without replacement from an ordinary deck, the first one is not a face card and the second is a face card.
Step 2
The probability that the second is a face card, given that the first is not a face card = Probability of not a face card × Probability of a face card (after drawing first card)
Since there are 12 face cards in a deck of 52 cards.
Probability of not having a face card on the first attempt =521252=4052
Probability of having a face card on the second attempt =1251
Thus, The probability that the second is a face card, given that the first is not a face card =4052×1251=4802652=0.1809
