1) Suppose your friend Rudy says that the probability it rains tomorrow is 125 percent. Is Rudy’s statement coherent?
2) Suppose Rudy assigns probability 0.3 to the sentence (PQ)
What probability should Rudy assign to the sentence (PQ)?
3) Suppose Rudy buys a lottery ticket. You say, “Don’t you know how unlikely it is that you’ll win?” Rudy replies, “Either I’ll win or I won’t, so there’s a 50% chance!” Is Rudy correct? In this situation, what might you say to Rudy?

1) This statement is incorrect as the probability can never be greater than 1 or 100%.
2) If probability of (PQ)=0.3, next,
Probability of (PQ)=10.3=0.7
 3) The statement would be true if there would have been only two persons purchasing the lottery out of which one will win. Since so many people are buying lottery tickets and only a few will win, the probability is very low.
