Step 1
Suppose that, the events
Server 1=A, Serve 2=B, &, Time less than 5 minutes =C
We are given that.
P(A)=0.4, P(B)=0.6, P(CA)=1, P(CB)=49
Then, P(C)=P(A)P(CA)+P(B)P(CB)
=410×1+610×49
P(C)=23
Now, The Reqd.Prod. =P(AC)=P(AC)P(C)[Defn.]
=P(CA)×P(A)P(C)
=(1)(0.4)23
=0.6
