Probabilities are always in the 0 to 1 range.
On the other hand, the odds are determined by dividing the likelihood that an event will occur by the likelihood that it won't.
As odds of the event occurring is 2:1
the probability that the event will occur is twice the probability that the event will not occur.
But if probabilty of happening of event is p, probability of event not happening is 1p
Hence p1p=2 or p=22p or 3p= i.e. p=23 and desired probability is 23.
