Binomial distribution is not a good model for determining the probabilities of various numbers of fatal accidents, during a year. Since the probability of fatal accidents is not same through out the year,

The four criteria for a binomial distribution are as follows

1 . Each trial should have two mutually disjoint outcomes, termed as success and failure.

2. The trials n are finite.

3. The trials n are independent of each other.

4. The probability of success p is constant for each trial.
