a) when the wavelength of blue light is
λ = 500  nm = 500 × 10 9  m = 0.5 × 10 6  m
So wavelength is smaller than d so intensity will not zero.
b) when the wavelength of infrared light is
λ = 10.6 μ m = 10.6 × 10 6   m
Here wavelength is greater than d so intensity will zero for this case.

c) when the wavelength of microwave is
λ = 1 μ m = 1 × 10 6   m
So wavelength is smaller than d so intensity will not zero.
d) when the wavelength of ultraviolet ray is
λ = 50 × 10 9 m = 0.05 × 10 6   m
