Let the revenue from sales of automobiles be $100 and the revenue from sales of trucks be 100t in 2013;
Then the revenues in 2014 from cars will be 89c, and the revenues from truck sales will be 107t;
We have that the sales in 2014 were 1% higher than that of 2013; Hence ( 89 c + 107 t ) = 1.01 ( 100 c + 100 t )  or  89 c + 107 t = 101 c + 101 t  or  12 C = 6 T
Thus, C T = 1 2
