Normal boiling point of water Tb = 373 K
Specific heat of water = 4.2 KJ/KgK
Find the energy required to heat water from 30 C to normal boiling point.
Energy required to heat water from 30 C to normal boiling point
Q = m C p ( T b T 1 )
Where, m=mass of water
C p = specific heat of water
T b = boiling point of water
T 1 = initial temperature
Q = 1   k g 4.2   K J / K g G ( 37.3 30.3 ) = 294   K J
So, heat required is 294 KJ.
