Wave interference is observable in all types of waves. It includes light, radio, acoustic, sound and surface water waves.
Light shows alternate dark and bright fringes due to interference (double slit experiment). Light is an example of transverse wave.
There is also interference of sound waves, for instance, which is a longitudinal wave. Beats" in sound waves are caused due to interference between two different frequencies.
