Time period (T) of simple pendulum is given as

$T=2\pi \sqrt{\frac{L}{g}}$

Rearranging the equation..,

$L=\frac{{T}^{2}g}{4{\pi}^{2}}$

One swing per second means it takes 2 seconds for one complete oscillation.

$L=\frac{{2}^{2}\times 9.8}{4\times {3.14}^{2}}$

$L\approx 1m$
