Dimensionally consistent - an equality or equation, signified by the equals sign, requires not only that the value be identical but that the units be the same on both sides of the equation. All the terms that are added or subtracted or equated on different sides of the equation must have the same dimensional formula. Velocity cannot be added to force, or an electric current cannot be subtracted from temperature.
