where   u = x + y + z   and   v = x 2 + y 2 + z 2
.Now by chain rule
f x = f u u x + f v v x
f x = f u + 2 x f v
f y = f u u y + f v v y
f y = f u + 2 y f v
f z = f u u z + f v v z
f z = f u + 2 z f v
