If M is the midpoint of AB
then Δ y ( A to M ) = Δ y ( M to B )
and Δ x ( A to M ) = Δ x ( M to B )
Since A is located at ( 2 , - 3 )
and M is located at ( 3 , - 4 )
Δ y ( A to M ) = ( - 4 ) - ( - 3 ) = - 1
and
Δ x ( A to M ) = 3 - 2 = 1
B is located at ( M x + Δ x , M y + Δ y )
= ( 3 + 1 , - 4 + ( - 1 ) )
= ( 4 , - 5 )
