Rearrange equation, to calculate acceleration.
F = m a a = F m
Substitute 1.4 m s 2 for a in equation
1.4 m s 2 = F m
Now to calculate acceleration of wagon with child, mass given is three times the mass of the wagon, hence the total mass.
m total = m + 3 m = 4 m
Substitute 4m for m in equation to obtain the new value.
a wagom with child = F 4 m = 1 4 ( F m )
Substitute
=0.35
