I have to assume point C is on the circle too.
In geometry, if A, B and C are points on a circle when the line AB is a diameter of the circle, then ACB is a right angle.
Given AB is a diameter, and AC=3, and BC=4
ACB=90
by Pythagorean theorem,
AB2=AC2+BC2
AB2=32+42=25
AB=25=5
