So, the general equation would be:

$y = - 2 x + K$

Now, (-1, 4) belongs to the line… and this means the equation is true when $x = - 1$ and $y = 4$ .

$4 = - 2 * (- 1) + k$

$4 = 2 + K$

Adding $2$ in both sides:

$2 = K$

So, the equation is:

$y = 2 x + 2$
