The distance between two points ( x 1 , y 1 , z 1 ) and ( x 2 , y 2 , z 2 ) is given by
( x 2 - x 1 ) 2 + ( y 2 - y 1 ) 2 + ( z 2 - z 1 ) 2
Hence distance between (1,3,-3) and (-2,1,-3) is
( - 2 - 1 ) 2 + ( 1 - 3 ) 2 + ( - 3 - ( - 3 ) ) 2
( - 3 ) 2 + ( - 2 ) 2 + 0 2
9 + 4 + 0
13 = 3.6056
