Understand Example of Nuclear Fusion Equation with Our Community

Given the extremely high plasma temperatures that are required to sustain a nuclear fusion reaction in a device such as a tokamak reactor, how can such high temperatures be maintained in the presence of radiative heat transfer from the plasma to the walls of the reactor vessel?

Is it possible to use nuclear fusion and fission to create new elements? For example, if you have a carbon dioxide molecule, break the bond between carbon and oxygen, and use nuclear fusion/fission to make a new element, or use those electrons, protons, and neutrons to make an element, bond it with another element, and maybe the new molecule be more useful than carbon dioxide. Not sure If I'm missing something here, because nuclear fission and fusion would solve the whole world's problems if it were really this easy. So there's probably a monetary cost, or a high-risk, or something else I'm missing.

Theoretically, if we just create a high pressure with low (room 20C) temperature, at some point nuclear fusion can be started.
Is there any research on this topic, how high should be this pressure for different type of reaction? Maybe someone has some numbers in mind, how many GPa should we have to achieve it?

Confined plasma in electromagnetic field uses in TOKAMAK nuclear fusion reaction. But I don't know what is the main role of plasma in fusion reaction. Is it use for producing energy required to fuse nuclei or something else?

I was wondering from where the heat and light energy is coming in sun through these reactions, if whole of the energy released is carried as the kinetic energy of the products?

In nuclear fusion, the colliding particle unites with the parent and fuses into a single nucleus with a higher mass. Sometimes other small particles (n, p) are given off.
However, that is not the case for the reaction:

If so, why would you still consider it as a nuclear fusion? I have come up with a theory that it is because the carbon has an extra neutron than Nitrogen. Is this correct?

Why is there the term
$2(Z-<!--\; -\; -->2)?$

In stars such as the Sun, what prevents the whole thing exploding at once? Why is the nuclear fusion happening slowly? I can only assume that something about the fusion is fighting the gravity and slowing the fusion down and when that process is done gravity starts the fusion process again.

We already have hydrogen bomb, why controllable nuclear fusion so difficult? And why controllable necessary? If we can detonate a tiny hydrogen bomb， we can collect the energy, like laser nuclear fusion do? Why didn't see any research of collider of coil gun? Beside LNF and Tokamak, using collide, we can let reaction happen in a space far from fragile device.

The SNF accounts for 99.9% of the mass of an atom.
So if 4 hydrogen atoms become 1 helium atom during nuclear fusion does that change the proportion of SNF as we have 4 SNFs becoming 1 SNF and 12 particles becoming 6 particles. Is it now 99.8% or something?

I'm trying to write a paper arguing for why we should spend more money on nuclear fusion research. I keep reading that "nuclear fusion produces no long lived radioactive waste", but when I looked up why this is the only good source I could find was Quora, clearly not something I can really cite. So, I was hoping someone here could explain it to me, and hopefully also leave their sources so I could use them as well.

What is the isotope composition of hydrogen atoms in the sun? Are the ratios of protium:deuterium:tritium similar to those we find on earth?
What does the nuclear fusion of hydrogen atoms in the sun look like? Can protiums participate too? Where does, then, the helium atom get a neutron from, as there are no neutrons in protiums?

In fusion terminology, what does it imply by taking orientational average of the fusion cross section when one of the nuclei has some static deformation/orientation? How is this average taken?

I am a bit confused regarding the nuclear fusion that occurs during star formation. For example, suppose there is a huge hydrogen cloud. It gets more mass and therefore pulls in more and more hydrogen, but it could just do this endlessly and get endlessly big. What causes it to stop growing? Is it because of the heat generated by the huge mass?

I was curious if antimatter could undergo nuclear fission/fusion with other antimatter. It makes sense, I was wondering if it would work?
