Calculating c's value:
Using the factor theorem: If P(x) is polynomial of degree n1 and aR, then
(x-a) is a factor of P(x), if P(a)=0
(x-2) is a factor of P(x)=x2-bx+b, if P(2)=0
P(2)=0
x2-bx+b=0
For x=2
22-b×2+2=0
22-b×2+b=04-2b+b=04-b=0b=4
Therefore, the value of b is 4.
