f ( x - 1 ) - f ( 2 ) = 3 x - 9
Given solution: As f ( x ) = 3 x - 1
f ( x - 1 ) = 3 ( x - 1 ) - 1 = 3 x - 3 - 1 = 3 x - 4
and f ( 2 ) = 3 × 2 - 1 = 6 - 1 = 5
Therefore f ( x - 1 ) - f ( 2 ) = 3 x - 4 - 5 = 3 x - 9
