We have to add one

This gives four

\frac{1}{6}

pieces.
Therefore,

\frac{1}{6} + \frac{3}{6} = \frac{4}{6}

\Rightarrow \frac{1}{6} + \frac{3}{6} = \frac{2}{3}

.... On canceling the common factor
Hence
