Ratio:
The ratio is nothing but the relation between the two numbers showing the number of time one value contains or is contained within the order.
Example:
Ram had 10 cookies, 7 out of 10 cookies are find but 3 got expired.
The ratio of expired cookies to the total cookies will be:
=310
Rates:
Rate is the comparison of two quantities having different units.
Example:
A person bliks his eyes 360 times a minute. The rate of eye blinking will be
=36060
=360 per minute
=60 per second

Step 1
There are 10 sections. The number left was 9 and this was 310S or three sections, so each section has 3 cookies.
