According to you by taking natural log on both sides of the above e q n you got
x + 3 ln 10 = 7 x ln 5 e but it is wrong you didn't applied the logarithm property correctly
On appliying log on both sides of e q n x we get
( x + 3 ) ln 10 = ln 5 + ( 7 x ) ln e [ ln e = 1 ;   ln a b = ln a + ln b ] ( x + 3 ) 2.302 = 1.609 + 7 x 2.302 x + x = 8.609 3 ( 2.302 ) [ ln 10 = 2.3025 ;   ln 5 = 1.6094 ] 3.302 x = 1.703 x = 1.703 3.302 x = 0.516 appx
