Let amount of Gummy bears needed = x
Amount of Jelly beans needed = 10-x
So value of Gummy bears = 2 40 × x
value of Jelly beans = 1 60 ( 10 x ) = 16 1 6 x
As given, candy mix worth $1.92 lb
value of 10 pound of candy mix
= 10 × 1.92 = 19.2
Total value of Gummy Bears + value of Jelly Beans = Value of Total Candy mix
2.40 x + 16 1 6 x = 19.2 0.8 x + 16 = 19 2 0.8 x = 3 2 x = 4
Ammount of Guumy Beans = 4 lbs
Amount of Jelly Beans =10-4=6 lbs
