Step 1
f ( x ) = x 2 + 4 x + 3 x 2 + 5 x + 6
f ( x ) = x 2 + x + 3 x + 3 x 2 + 2 x + 3 x + 6
f ( x ) = x ( x + 1 ) + 3 ( x + 1 ) x ( x + 2 ) + 3 ( x + 2 )
f ( x ) = ( x + 1 ) ( x + 3 ) ( x + 2 ) ( x + 3 )
f ( x ) = x + 1 x + 2
Step 2
Zero's f ( x ) = 0
x + 1 x + 2 = 0 x + 1 = 0
x = 1
Zero's are {-1}
