We basically answer this question by comparing both jointly
(1) for multiply :
When we multiply a number with fraction we have to just multiply the number with numerator of the fraction but when we multiply with a fraction it will very difficult because fraction contain more digits .let's understand with a example :
Multiply 4 × 1 4 = 1 is easy but fraction form of 1 4 is 0.25 so, to multiply 4 × 0.25 = 1 with fraction we have to do more work and also increase diffculty
(2) for divide :
for divide it is difficult because first we have to find simplified form and then carry out divide operation but in decimal we have not so
(3) fraction always used as to store exact value because some values in decimal form can not written exactly
for example :
decimal form : 0.3333333
fraction form: 1 3
