Let Shawna ran X miles on Friday.
Then as per the question, she ran 2X miles on Saturday.
or, we can say she ran a total of X + 2X = 3X miles on friday and saturday.
On sunday she ran a third of 3X miles as given in question, thus on sunday she ran X miles.
Thus she ran a total of 3X + X = 4X miles in three days which is equal to 24 miles.
4X = 24,
X = 6
so, on friday friday, she ran X = 6 miles.
on saturday, 2X = 12 miles
and on sunday again X = 6 miles.
This is the answer.
