Let f(θ)=cos(θ)2+cos(θ)
Since we are considering 1f(θ) and we don't want this to be infinity, we require that f(θ)0
We know that cos(θ)=0 whenever θ=π2+nπ
So cos(θ)2+cos(θ)=0+0=0
We also know that cos(θ)=1 whenever θ=π+2nπ
So cos(θ)2+cos(θ)=(1)21=11=0
These are the values at which f(θ)=0. At all other values the function is well defined.
