sint+cost=sintcos2t
suppose x=coty,y=sint with this we have
x2+y2=1, x+y0, x+y=(yx2)2=y22yx2+x4
leads to
y(1+2x2)=1xx2+x4
=(1x)x2(1x2)
=(1x)(1x2x3)
therefore
y=(1x)(1x2x3)1+2x2=1x2
the solutions are
x=0.6390, 0,543689, 0, 1
the corresponding t values are
2.3364, 2.1455, 1.5707
