L.H.S.= cos 2 x 1 + sin 2 x = cos 2 x sin 2 x ( cos x + sin x ) 2 = cos x sin x ( cos x + sin x ) = 1 tan x 1 + tan x = tan ( π 4 x )=R.H.S.
